What is a Willow Story?
A Willow Story is a collaborative tribute space where family and friends can share memories, messages, and photos. Unlike other memorial websites, we offer a guided experience that helps you remember. We then organize everything for you, in a beautiful website that tells their story, and keeps their memory alive for future generations.
Is it private?
Yes, you control who can access and contribute. Unlike other memorial websites, you can’t access other people’s “memorial pages”. We created Willow not just as a tribute solution, but as a real “family history” platform, built to last.
Will it always be available?
Yes, we’re building a platform for lasting memories, so future generations can connect with their heritage.
Can I add voice messages and videos?
We’re adding video & voice support, it should be available in about a week.
How much does it cost?
The cost to preserve a life story is 199€. We’re giving you an early bird discount this week for 99€! This includes 3 years of hosting for your Willow Story. Thereafter, you can choose to keep it online for a small yearly fee, or download all your data.
How long does it take?
It takes 5 mins to set up your Willow Story, and between 5 minutes (multiple contributors), to 30-45 minutes (if only one contributor) to tell someone’s story. You can go into as much depth as you want, with unlimited contributions & prompts. Usually, people come back to it, adding memories along the way!
How do the interviews work and how long are they available?
The interviews are flexible and tailored to the needs of your family.
Up to three close relatives can answer questions via WhatsApp or email – in writing or as a voice message. Photos and files can also be easily shared via Whatsapp, and will be automatically uploaded to your Willow Story page.
The chat functions like a personal memory archive and can be used at any time – whether in the middle of the night or while taking a walk.
There is no limit to the number of questions or the length of the answers. The conversation adapts based on your responses, and keeps going forever, until you stop answering.
The interview function is available for 12 months.
How long is the contribution link active?
We advise to set a limit of 3 months – this encourages people to contribute memories early.
